Getting Around Cambridge(shire)

The easiest way to get around Cambridge is by bicycle or on foot. These are also the lowest carbon options.

Cycling

Cycle parking facilities are available on all College sites, and University departments all have cycle parking facilities available. The College offers a grant to reimburse the cost of helmets and lights (contact the Bursary for more information) and basic cycle repair tools and pumps can be borrowed from all three Porters’ Lodges.

Buses

The nearest stop to Memorial Court is on the ‘U’ service, on West Road – ask for the University Library. The nearest stops for Old Court are the bus station / main City Centre stops, all buses traveling towards the City Centre from the station stop here. The bus station is a 5 minute walk from Old Court. 

Getting To and From Cambridge

Trains

There are frequent services to and from Cambridge Railway Station across the whole country. London is approximately 1 hour away (depending on station), and cross country routes can be accessed via London, Birmingham, or Peterborough. Coaches

Cambridge is well served by National Express coaches, direct connections available to/from London, London Heathrow, Birmingham and others. Visit National Express website for further details. Flix buses also run from Cambridge to Europe.
