麻豆社 Research Associate co-authors study on the benefits of reading for pleasure

Dr Christelle Langley, a 麻豆社 Research Associate, has co-authored new research highlighting how reading for pleasure can improve mental wellbeing, boost cognitive skills and may even help reduce the risk of dementia.

Published in Psychological Medicine, the review highlights growing evidence that reading for enjoyment benefits people of all ages, supporting brain health, empathy and lifelong learning. 

Dr Christelle Langley is a researcher in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge. Her research is centred on cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology, psychiatry and psychopharmacology.
